This is like the adult coif which is known from the twelfth century.
Style 2: Three-Piece Coif
A better fitting shape than 1, possibly medieval and probably the usual sixteenth century form.
Style 3: Later Coif or Biggin
This may have been in use by 1600 and continues to 1900.
