Doublet for wear over a shirt and under a coat or gown, with eyelets for trussing separate or joined hose. Separate hose and long doublet are quicker, cheaper and simpler for young boys.
Pattern given for long, unwaisted doublet with round neck or optional collar. Front fastening with lacing, latches or buttons. Sleeves either loose or closed at the wrists with buttons.
Guidance included to improve individual fit, including shortening for joined hose.
